Square steel tsuba with hitsu-ana.  Featured in a recent Youtube videos about etching and making tsubas.  This tsuba was rust-blued to produce a mottled black finish.  The tsuba includes hitsu-ana design to admit the small knife and hairpins carried by many samurai in their sword furniture.  3" square; .18" thick.
