This random damascus pattern steel tsuba was featured on several recent Youtube videos about etching and making tsubas.  The steel was forged by Walter specifically for a recently completed set of tsubas from 1050 and 15N20 steel.  After shaping, the tsuba was nitre-blued giving it a combination of deep blues and purples.  The colors are very difficult to capture on camera because of the prizmatic quality of the patina, which shifts markedly as lighting changes.  2.75" high; .25" thick.
